half tray

I made a roast pig delivery today at yonkers new york. I like the drive on the Henry Hudson specially on a nice sunny day in spring not your typical new york week day traffic. We are greatful for having customers outside of town. It makes us feel good that when you see your friends here in New Jersey that you remember us. The next photo is when I got back I was hungry and just like everyone else we look around. You would be surprise how hard it is to get a bite even if you work in a kitchen. The food trays that I delivered today were two trays of BBQ Chicken which is the best deal here cause its only like 20 bucks per tray and its the best thing that you can ever do to a chicken next to a homemade chicken adobo or rice porridge soup or even chicken soup. I know when people have parties they tend to think of Lumpia Shanghai and Pancit and like one meat to highlight the whole thing.
Photobucket People tend to overlook the chicken because thats what people eat during the week and maybe fish and soup. However when people have parties they tend to go for the decadent stuff like Roast Pig and Kare Kare or Beef Kaldareta. I noticed that Filipinos are always looking for something new to be a big hit at their parties. I tend to question sometimes what makes certain foods filipino and what new stuff that are coming out and what can I do to add to our expanding menu. Since Philippine food is highly influenced by our neighbor china and our long lost colonizer Spain...the room for innovation is still huge. As much as there are Filipinos who prefer the original stuff from back in the homeland there are also Filipino kids who are Americanize and like american food. Since American food is pretty much every culture and nationality coming together as well as original American food such as Turkey for thanksgiving and Hamburger and Hotdog the room is wide.
